Read and Comply or Face the Consequences if the Shoe Fits

Sleeping in class, playing games or giving the impression of doing so may be reported without further warning

Example yesterday - students continuing to talk to each other, play a game, and move desks after being told not to.

If you in violation of a policy and you tell me that you are not then that is a guranteed report to the Dean and you can explain it to him - each time

This unacceptable conduct by a few in this class ends now - students in the back on the left as viewed from the front of the classroom

I give unannounced quizzes in this class about material presented if detention does not get the appropriate attention...These quizzes can be on an individual basis

If you are not interested in learning a subject then you should drop that subject; expecially if it is one that I am teaching.

ð 15 percent of your grade in this class will be based on class participation and following instructions so that not only you but others can learn something without being

distracted by you. Things that I will consider include

        Ø Paying attention

Ø Working in the lab and contributing to the efforts of your team

Ø Working on assignments in class when given the time to do so

Ø Reading assigned material as evidenced by ability to answer questions concerning the material assigned

Ø Figuring out the approaches as opposed to asking how to accomplish things that have already been explained, covered in assignments, etc. Questions concerning

things that may not be clear will, of course, always be answered. I will not, however, look up constants, etc. for you.

Ø Not following safety procedures or playing in the lab or classroom

Do not move the desks in this classroom

Next step is assigned seating arrangements for some students in the back left as viewed from the front
