The course is taught using the standards-based Web development software from Microsoft – Expression Web Version 2.  This is the software used by the instructor to develop his site at www.alpcentauri.info. No prior knowledge of this exciting field is required; we start at the beginning.

 

Areas covered range from the basics of organization and color schemes to more advanced topics such as modern web site standards, cascading style sheets, layers, dynamic web templates, behaviors, XHTML, and ASP.NET. Students will learn how to use Photoshop to enhance the graphics portions of their site. Important concepts such as suggested criteria for selecting a site provider and publishing to your site will also be addressed.

 

At the end of the course the students will have an impressive site ready for uploading to the Web.
