Bluetooth

Description

Bluetooth is a technology that makes it possible to send and receive data without using wired or cables. Using Bluetooth, you can exchange programs between your NXT and other NXT’s. Or you can establish a wireless connection between your computer and your robot and try out programs instantly – even with your robot on the other side of the room!

If you have a mobile phone with Bluetooth capability, you can use it to control your robot. You might even be able to use it as an advanced sensor, like a camera sensor.
 

NXT Bluetooth functionality

 Communicate with one Bluetooth device at the time
 Can be connected with up to three other devices at a time
 Search and connect to other Bluetooth devices
 Remember previous connected device for quick reconnection
 Set NXT brick visible or invisible to other devices
 Turn NXT Bluetooth On/Off for power saving

Making the connection:

Make sure NXT is turned on. Also make sure you have Bluetooth set to on and that your NXT is set to be Visible (page 34 of manual). Also make sure that Bluetooth is installed and enabled on your computer.
