Mindstorms NXT-G Programming Blocks

Here are the sensor blocks that you need in order to use the HiTechnic sensors with the LEGO Mindstorms software. These will work with Mindstorms NXT software versions 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0. For the 1.0 LEGO software, you will first need to download and install Dynamic Block Update. You can find Dynamic Block Update on this LEGO site:LEGO Education - Software Updates

Instructions:Create a folder on your Desktop called "NXT-G Blocks".
Download the NXT-G blocks that you need for your sensors. Note: entering your email address is optional.
For each .zip file that you download, expand and copy the folder that you find inside and place it in the "NXT-G Blocks" folder.
From the LEGO Mindstorms software, select the Block Import/Export Wizard from the Tools menu.
Click on Browse, select the "NXT-G Blocks" folder on the Desktop.
In the listbox, select the blocks that you want to import.
Click Import

You will now find the Sensor blocks that you imported on the Advanced Palette. If you need help using a block, put the block in the program and then hover the mouse over the block for a second or two. You will now see a brief summary about the sensor in the lower right corner of the LEGO Mindstorms window. Click on "More help >" to see the full help file for the sensor.
